KoMBO.PLUS (KMB+) is a compact pre-treatment system specially designed to meet expectations of small to medium sized wastewater treatment plants. It is an “all in one” equipment combining all steps of mechanical treatment process, screening and grit removal in a single equipment with small footprint.
KMB+ is mainly consisting of:
- Fine Screen,
- Screenings Compactor,
- Grit Removal Tank
- Grit Classifier
- Grease Removal Chamber (Optional)
The wastewater flows through the fine screen leaving the debris on the surface of the screen. The screw transporter collects and lifts the captured debris upwards out of the wastewater flow. By the help of the Integrated Wash Press, the screenings are compacted and discharged into a container.
After fine screening, the wastewater flows to the grit chamber. Here the grit and other inorganics are settled are transported against the flow direction and dropped into a lateral pit. Inclined grit classifier transports the collected grit upwards and dewaters. Grit is finally discharged into a container.
Grease and other floating matter are guided to the grease chamber and collected by the grease skimmer up to inclined ramp to the grease pit.
The plant is operated fully automatic based on level and elapsed time philosophy.
KMB+ has different product types:
- KMB+S is a combination of Fine screen with an integrated compaction unit, followed by a conventional grit removal system and grit classifier.
- KMB+A is an improved version of conventional system with aerated grit removal and additional grease removal chamber.
