Disc Filter

With this proven flow model, maximum filtration efficiency is achieved. The water to be filtered is distributed from the central drum of the unit to the filter discs. Waste is retained inside, while the filtered water flows out through the discs. The fine openings of the filter cloth ensure excellent results.

The fluid to be filtered flows by gravity from the central inlet drum to the filter cassettes. Particles larger than the pore size are retained on the inner side of the filter segments. As solids accumulate, flow through the filter slows down and the water level inside the unit gradually rises. Once the preset level is reached, the filter discs begin to rotate and the backwash cycle is initiated. High-pressure backwash nozzles direct the retained solids into the sludge trough. When the water level drops to the pre-set minimum, the unit stops rotating and the backwash cycle ends. At the minimum water level, filtration takes place at maximum capacity.

For greater variability and adaptation to the spatial  and capacity need so feach customer, two size series of disc filters have been developed.
After long-term testing, we offer smaller, more compact device with a diameter of 1.7 m and larger device with a diameter of 2.2 m with a larger filtration area and higher capacity.

Type FDi

  • Disc diameter 1.7m
  • Max capacity 300 l/s
  • Filtration area max. 59m²
  • Max. No. of discs 20 pcs

Type FDGi

  • Disc diameter 2.2m
  • Max capacity 1300 l/s
  • Filtration area max. 232m²
  • Max. No. of discs 20 pcs
  • Possibility of integrated level balance tank

All filter segments are made of durable and fully recyclable ABS plastic, and are equipped with high-efficiency filter cloth for effective particle removal.
Thanks to the innovative segment design, overall weight is reduced while the strength and mechanical lifespan of the filter cloth are significantly improved.
